ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

A candlelight vigil was held Monday night for an Albany man hit and killed by a car.

Family members say Luther Levitt was riding his bike Friday night on South Cleveland Street when he was hit by a car.
His neighbor of five years, Yalander Baltimore, says she heard a loud crash.
When she stepped outside to see what happened she saw the driver of the vehicle checking for a response from Levitt.

"We're watching and whatever and the guy that hit him you know I noticed he was touching him, moving him which he wasn't suppose to be doing,” said Yalander Baltimore, Neighbor. “He was holding his own head hollering oh my God."

We're working to get more information from Albany Police. Stay with WALB for more updates.
