ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

An Albany woman is in serious condition after a good Samaritan helped save her from her burning car.

Kajha Lawson was traveling on West Highland Avenue this morning when she hit an oak tree and her car caught fire.

Antwan Morman was at a friend's house when he heard the crash.

He grabbed water and baking soda to try to put out the fire and helped a police officer pull Lawson to safety.

"So we finally get to her,” said Antwan Moran, Saved Woman. “I grab her top end and pulled her down. He tells me not to be too fast. He grabs her. I run in grab her legs and then we walk her out to the road and put her on the road. From there I was just like is she is okay. She was partially conscious. Wasn't too conscious."

Lawson was airlifted to a Macon hospital
