PELHAM, GA (WALB) -
New details on a Mitchell County program trying to help ex-felons get back on their feet.
Kentrez Gardner was recently given two properties in Mitchell County for his Back to Life Coalition. They'll provide a place for up to 25 offenders to live, including Gardner.
"I have a home now," said the 26-year-old Gardner. "I didn't have a home. While I was staying with someone I was sleeping on the couch. I have a home now where I can call my own and actually run my program. So its been a blessing for me also, and I want to be a blessing for the other people that may be going through the same stuff I've been through."
The coalition needs beds and other items for the homes. In order to apply for the house, or donate items, contact Gardner at 229-319-8933
