GRADY COUNTY, GA (WALB) - Law enforcement agencies warn victims of storm damage to be wary of scams.
After several homes in Grady county were damaged Wednesday, Sheriff Harry Young said property owners could become prey for scammers.
He said if someone comes to your home claiming to be a contractor, you should ask for their I.D., phone number, and company address.
Never pay up front.
If you believe you have been scammed or approached by a scammer, call your local law enforcement agency.
