ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The Dougherty County Law Library is helping people who can't afford an attorney handle legal matters themselves.
A law clinic on Friday will focus on divorce.
Library Manager Laureen Kelly will teach people about the order of lawsuits, division of debt and property, alimony and child support.
"They get into trouble a lot of times. They don't fill out the forms correctly. They leave things blank or they are missing documents that they're suppose to have and so we've begun these classes so that they'll be ready to bring their cases," said Kelly.
The Bar Association and Georgia Legal Services will also help with the clinic on divorce this Friday at 11 in the law library conference room in the courthouse.
Free clinics are held every fourth Friday.
You can call the law library at 431-2133 to sign up for the clinic.
