Suspect found guilty in Cordele murder trial

CORDELE, GA (WALB) - A jury found a man guilty of killing another man during a home burglary.

It only took a few hours of deliberation before jurors came back with the verdict, guilty on all counts.

Miller was convicted of shooting Tellis Fort during a burglary at Fort's 12th Street home last May.

Closing arguments took place Wednesday afternoon.

Miller is guilty of felony murder and aggravated assault with possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

Miller could face life without parole.

His sentencing is scheduled for March 2nd.

Co-defendant Conardo Dennard pleaded guilty and was sentenced to life with the possibility of parole.
