LEE CO., GA (WALB) -

Lee County Commissioners continue to discuss whether to be part of a new round of FEMA flood buyouts.
Right now, there are at least four lee County homes that qualify for a 100-percent buyout from FEMA and 23 that can get a 90-percent buyout.
The county would have to make up that difference and would be responsible for demolition, clean-up, and abandonment of well and septic tank costs.
Commissioners plan to decide next month whether to join the Flood Mitigation Assistance Grant program and how much money to allocate to it.
