MOULTRIE, GA (WALB) -

Folks in Moultrie celebrated Arbor Day by giving back to nature.

City officials gathered Friday morning at Main Street Park to plant this tulip poplar tree to enhance the beauty of the park.

Beautification director Freddie Farrell says the trees not only improve the appearance of the city, but also contribute to better health conditions.

"God gave us these trees. It's our duty to take care of what God gave to us. So, I know it's my duty because I love nature," said Farrell.

Farrell says they plan to plant even more trees inside the park for future generations to enjoy.
