A Sylvester man is in jail, because the owner of a car was locked out of the vehicle.
On Wednesday afternoon, the owner of a car called Sylvester Police to a house on Pearl Street, where his keys had been locked inside the car.
Officer Anna Torres was able to get the locked door open, and when she did, she noticed a strong aroma of marijuana, according to SPD Lieutenant Ken Washington.
With probable cause, she searched the car, and soon found small bags of marijuana inside.
The owner told Torres he had no knowledge of the pot, but called 20 year old Marvis Jordan, who was in the house where the car was parked.
Jordan said the pot was his, and he was arrested for the marijuana, and an outstanding warrant, as well.
He was taken to the Turner County jail in Ashburn.
