CORDELE, GA (WALB) - Conardo Dennard, a defendant in the shooting death of a man outside his home, pleaded guilty to malice murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon this week.
Dennard was sentenced to life in prison plus a five year sentence to be served concurrently on the firearm charge.
The DA would not comment about the deal including his testimony in the trial of Keontay Miller that begins Monday.
Tellis Fort was gunned down outside of his 12th Street home in Cordele last May. Investigators said Dennard and Miller went to the home to burglarize it, and they shot Fort in the process.
