LOWNDES CO., GA (WALB) -

U.S. Air Force F-15s, F-16s, A-10s and other aircraft will be conducting aerial training at Grand Bay Bombing and Gunnery Range today.

The training runs begin at 11:00AM, and lasts through 3:00PM.

The Air Force says that excess noise will occur throughout Valdosta and the surrounding areas, while the pilots are receiving their training, which is overseen by Moody range control specialists.

Military personnel regularly use the range and its surrounding airspace Monday to Friday during various hours for tactical air and ground maneuvers, as well as weapons training.

The 23d Wing Public Affairs office invites everyone to visit Moody's official website for more information on Moody and to view current news releases.  Information is updated daily on their Facebook page: Moody Air Force Base.
