CAMILLA, GA (WALB) - Students from around south Georgia learned about job opportunities in the region.
On Wednesday, nearly a hundred high school students participated in the Regional Youth Summit in Camilla hosted by The Regional Partners Network Inc.
Students met with college representatives and learned about the tools they need to succeed in science, technology, engineering and mathematics professions.
"Many times the students just don't know that the careers exist or how they can move into these areas, without some assistance. So we are hoping today that through the Youth Summit, they'll get a glimpse at what they can do and what they can be," said Barbara Reddick with the Southwest Georgia Regional Commission.
Students also heard from motivational speakers to get them prepared for a successful future after high school.
