ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Families were able to enjoy a fun day at the Flint Riverquarium on Wednesday.

Each month, the attraction hosts 'Tadpole Time' for kids and parents.

Visitors heard a story, got a tour, made crafts and enjoyed a snack.

"Get kids excited about nature and the animals that we have here. and just get them involved with the aquarium and hopefully they'll learn something at the same time," said Operations Manager Vicki Churchman.

Riverquarium officials encourage preschool and head start groups to sign up and visit.

'Tadpole Time' is held the third Wednesday of each month at 10 a.m.
