The ramp onto I-75 south from mile marker 49 near Lenox was reopened after a wreck, but a second crash caused officials to close the southbound lanes less than one mile north of the first accident.
Officials said a four-vehicle crash was blocking the lanes, later there was a confirmed second crash and the southbound lanes have been closed around the accident.
There were no reports of injuries in the first accident, but officials have confirmed that there were injuries in the second crash.
Drivers are urged to avoid the area if possible.
A detour has been established through a rest area nearby, authorities said.
