AMERICUS, GA (WALB) - A graduate nursing program in southwest Georgia was ranked as a top 50 program in the country by a recent ranking.
Top masters in healthcare dot com ranked Georgia Southwestern number 45. The ranking is based off of factors like flexibility, faculty involvement, and tuition and fees.
The school currently has 53 students in the program, but the dean says admission numbers are increasing. This ranking just helps their recruiting.
"This helps us attract a cadre of students who are looking at excellence, looking at cost, flexibility, and quality of education in their seeking of nursing education programs," said Nursing School Dean Dr. Sandra Daniel.
Dr. Daniel says the school's close relationship with the phoebe health system and other area hospitals also boosts their program.
