DOUGLAS, GA (WALB) - Coffee County deputies conducted a traffic stop for reckless driving on a red Chevrolet Silverado truck last Tuesday.
A Douglas-Coffee Drug Unit Detective and a drug-sniffing dog examined the vehicle driven by Dustin Bowen.
When he opened the driver's door of the truck the Deputies could see a plastic bag in the door panel. That bag contained four packages of methamphetamine.
Bowen was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute (3.7 grams).
"I applaud all our officers for their continued efforts to remove the drugs and the persons pushing these drugs from our community," said Coffee County Sheriff Doyle Wooten.
