AMERICUS, GA (WALB) -

Authorities are still searching for a missing man in Americus.

The Sumter County Fire Department's dive team was out in the Muckalee Creek Friday searching for 26-year-old James Fuller.

He ran from a traffic stop last week and hasn't been seen since.

The dive team covered about 400 yards of the creek.

If they don't find anything, officials may get the State Patrol's aviation unit do another search farther south.

"We are going to sit down and do an assessment to see what the weather is going to do for the next couple of days. We may look at the option again of getting the Georgia State Patrol to bring in an aviation unit in here now that the water is going down and to try and fly further south of where we are right now."

McCorkle says they are continuing to search in the creek.
