WORTH CO., GA (WALB) - Worth county middle school students got a visit from a state representative, as they prepare for their trip to the Georgia State Capitol.
State Representative Ed Rynders spoke with eighth graders Friday morning.
The entire grade will make their way to the gold dome in the next couple weeks.
Each student got a chance to ask the representative questions about local and national issues.
"They talked about local issues, whether it was people's pay. They talked about the Constitution and the right to bear arms," said Representative Rynders. "They talked about ISIS. I was impressed with the broad base of knowledge that I heard from these young people."
The school is still in need of donations to fund the trip.
If you would like to donate, you can contact the Worth County Middle School at (229) 776-8620, or the Chamber at (229) 776-7718.
