DOUGHERTY CO., GA (WALB) - A man went into the Dougherty County Police Headquarters to recover his missing wallet, even though he was wanted and had suspected Meth in his pocket.
32-year-old Jerry Tranbarger the third was wanted for battery and cruelty to children.
Dougherty County Police arrested him Wednesday when he went to pick up his wallet that was found by an officer. Officers searched Tranbarger and found three bags of white powder that field tested as Meth.
Dougherty County Police Lt. Chad Kirkpatrick said "If you do come to the police department and you do have drugs on you, and we locate them, you will be arrested and taken to jail."
The powder has been sent to the GBI crime lab for testing, and more charges could be filed.
