BLAKELY, GA (WALB) - Blakely and Early County are getting ready for one of that area's biggest festivals.
'Peanut Proud' brings thousands of people to town each year.
They have lots of activities for families, plus live entertainment, and dancing at night.
Chamber officials also say it was a way for the area to respond to the negative press brought on by the Salmonella trials.
"It's a big benefit for the chamber that Peanut Proud does for us that they bring these people in town because it gives our businesses exposure that otherwise they wouldn't have," said Kyle Cornegay of the Blakely-Early County Chamber of Commerce.
The festival will get underway on March 19th.
