A Douglas woman celebrated another year of a long life.

The amazing and energetic photo shows Essie Mae Armour on her 100th birthday with family and friends recently.

She is living independently and said that she enjoys passing the time by sitting outside in the sun and cooking.

Happy birthday Miss Essie Mae and congratulations on a century of life.
