ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Snow may have sprinkled down on North Georgia Tuesday, but 43 years ago on this date, residents in South Georgia faced a historically cold moment.
Back in 1973, the biggest snow storm to date, hit the area.
Three inches fell down in Albany.
A home video shot by WALB's photographer Carlton Christian and his family shows just how much snow hit the area back in 1973.
Other parts of the region got even more snow than that, with places like Americus getting eight inches of snowfall.
