TIFTON, GA (WALB) - More than a dozen peanut growers and producers learned about the media Tuesday, to help them promote their crop and industry.
The Georgia Peanut Commission organized the event at the University of Georgia Tifton Campus.
WALB News Ten's Jim Wallace was one of the panelists of media representatives answering questions for the session.
One of the farmers attending was Rick LaGuardia from Miller County, who said he wants to be a good spokesperson for Georgia agriculture.
"Constantly working to provide the safest products that we can to the market," said LaGuardia. "We're each, the land is a valuable asset. We want to be good stewards of the land."
The farmers and producers were taught about how to do successful interviews, and best uses for social media to promote peanut products.
