Nineteen year old Anthony Hood, who is charged with robbing an Exxon in East Albany with a fake gun, is now charged with the armed robbery of the Washington Streets Meats and Grocers in Ashburn on Friday, January 29th.

Investigators with the Ashburn Police Department came to Albany and interviewed Hood, and took out warrants out today for the hold-up in that town.

They say the community and cooperation with other agencies solved this crime.

"The citizens of Ashburn, along with the Albany Police Department, just a great response, just overwhelming support from the citizens to help us catch this guy," said Investigator Clifford Jordan.

They say Hood was armed with what may have actually been a paint ball gun.

Anthony Hood was arrested along with two sisters in July of 2014, for what was called a home invasion when four people, including a juvenile, pushed their way into the home Shawnee Avenue in Lee County.
