Cordele classes help more people get GEDs

CORDELE, GA (WALB) - The Youth Educational Services Center in Cordele is helping people get their GED.

They are finishing up their fourth class that also teaches young people about resume writing and how to dress for interviews.

They will start up another class in May, but do have a waiting list.

The program is managed by the Southwest Georgia Empowerment Zone and funded through the department of labor.

"They enroll anyone from 18 to 21 individuals at a time," said Programs Manager Charlotte Dobbs. "We usually maintain a waiting list. They're next recruitment is in may. We are looking forward to starting up with a group of new individuals in the area."
