TIFTON, GA (WALB) - A Florida tattoo parlor's plan to help people dealing with the water crisis in Michigan came to a standstill in south Georgia.
Volunteers from Studio 13 in Orlando loaded up more than 7,500 cases of water to deliver to Flint Michigan.
As they were traveling through South Georgia they had a tire blowout on I-75.
After being stuck in Tifton overnight and receiving a lot of messages of support on Facebook, the volunteers hope to get back on the road.
"Seeing that something terrible like this has happened in Flint, and something bad happened to us when we tried to help out with it, and people are still willing to show support, ya know having kind words for it is kind of amazing," said Galen McHatton, a volunteer from Studio 13.
The volunteers are running low on money but the trucking company Penske offered them a discount on a replacement rental truck on Monday.
It's unclear what they'll do with the previous truck, which is currently in the shop being repaired.
