Multiple Sylvester crimes solved with 4 arrests

SYLVESTER, GA (WALB) -

Sylvester Police took four young people into custody in the last few days, and they believe these arrests will allow them to clear several burglaries in and around the city.

The most recent vehicle burglary happened n Cascade Circle last Friday morning around about 3:30.

An assortment of fire arms and ammo valued at $6,500 was taken. A substantial amount of the stolen property was quickly recovered by police.

Jazzylee Anthony Jordan, 20, of Sylvester, and 18 year old Rachel Quinn McCracken were taken into custody.

Jordan is charged with Possession of Marijuana, less than and ounce, second degree Burglary, Motor Vehicle Theft, and Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Rachel McCracken, is charged with Motor Vehicle Theft and second degree burglary.

Austin Michael Barfield and Kristian Lee Paul Stokes are also charged with theft in the ongoing investigation.  Charges are pending on two more suspects which are possible juveniles.

These arrests and charges stem from 22 entering autos and five home burglaries that spanned from January to February 2016, according to SPD.

The stolen vehicle was recovered, and detectives are working to see if that was related to the gun theft.
