Man, woman arrested in Sylvester gun, car theft

SYLVESTER, GA (WALB) -

Sylvester Police say a man with a string of charges dating to when he was 17, is being held in connection with vehicle burglary on Cascade Circle Friday morning  around about 3:30.

An assortment of fire arms and ammo valued at $6,500 was taken. A substantial amount of the stolen property was quickly recovered by police. 

Jazylee Anthony Jordan, 20, of Sylvester, and a woman were taken into custody.

Jordan is in the Turner Counter Jail, charged with Possession of Marijuana, less than and ounce, second degree Burglary, Motor Vehicle Theft, and Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.                                                                                                         

Rachel McCracken, 18, is in the Turner County Jail, charged with Motor Vehicle Theft and second degree burglary. 

Investigators expect to make more arrests in the ongoing investigation of these thefts.

The stolen vehicle was recovered, and detectives are working to see if that was related to the gun theft.

In September of 2013, the Sylvester Local reported that Jazylee Jordan, who was then 17, was charged with 18 counts of burglary and one count of possession of a pistol by a person under the age of 18.

Scarlette M Wimberly She did not think her brother, Airman 1st Class Jason Florence, would make it to her graduation. He's been stationed in Alaska for more than two years.
