A group of Albany women got together Thursday night to display their artwork.
The Albany Area Arts Council hosted an opening reception for "When Sistahs Gather" put on by a non-profit organization called Renaissance Connection, INC.
The work of eight women includes paintings, sculptures, and graphic works.
The Executive Director says one of their goals is to bring people together.

"With it being different types of women who have different backgrounds we thought it would be great to bring those together and blend them and do something great for the community,” said Femi Anderson, Executive Director.

The exhibit will be up til the end of the month.
The full list of artists include Henrimae Bell, Carmen Liana Young, Sandra G. Anderson, Belinda Vickerson, Samantha Miller Fields, Tijuana Maria Vasquez, Camyljah M. Giddens, and Sandy Hall.
