ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Albany Water, Gas and Light Crews are installing lights on South Westover Boulevard from Gillionville Road to Oakridge Drive.
City Commissioner Tommie Postell says there's been a need for lights in that area for a long time.
He says the project is good for businesses and residential neighborhoods.
"It needed to be some lights in there because it was a danger driving from Gillionville to Oakridge because the lighting was so poor, but now that their putting lights in there visibility will be much better and the citizens in that area needed the lights," said Tommie Postell, City Commissioner.
Crews hope to finish the project by the end of the month.
