ALBANY, GA (WALB) - An Albany photographer's first exhibit is now on display at the Albany Museum of Art.
Adrian Jenkins has taken pictures for about 40 years.
He was shocked when the museum asked him to put on an exhibit as a companion to an exhibit of historic photographs by the late Richard Samuel Roberts highlighting African American culture.
"Paula the director thought it would be a great ides to have a local photographer to showcase along with him showing the similarities of the work," said Jenkins. "So that was really the inspiration behind bringing the two of us together."
Museum members got a preview of the exhibit called "A-E Jenkins: Connection to the past."
It's one of 3 new exhibits that open to the public Saturday.
