BLAKELY, GA (WALB)
The City of Blakely is working on getting some funding to repair some of its sidewalks.
Every year they work to get a grant through the D-O-T to help with sidewalk repairs.
Right now they're waiting for approval.
North and South Church streets are just a few of the areas where city officials say they need to do some work.
“They are not bad all over, but certain spots in them areas are pretty bad because of deterioration over the years,” says Street Department Supervisor Charlie Wade.
He also says River and College streets are some other areas where they would like to make some improvements.
