LEESBURG, GA (WALB) - That sound you hear across the country is those fax machines finally shutting down as National Signing Day comes to close for 2016.
And some of the nation's top programs got top talent from south Georgia, namely the SEC.
A pair of area big men plan to toughen up the trenches for the Georgia Bulldogs over the next four years.
Lee County's Chris Barnes and Americus-Sumter's Tyler Clark each inking their letters of intent with the Dawgs Wednesday.
"We're excited. we're trying to win a national championship this year," said the former Panthers DT, Clark. "We think we can win it this year. it's great. it feels good to be a part of squad 16, committed to the G"
"He (Kirby Smart) said stay with the Dawgs," said Lee County OT, Barnes. "We're going to have some really good years here. we're going to win some games. so stay with Georgia"
The two even made it to each other's ceremonies- to help celebrate. Now they'll just get ready to battle in practice every day.
Down the road- Colquitt County wide out Kiel Pollard hopes to bring the first SEC title to South Carolina.
The Packers' four star recruit flipped from Arkansas to USC this weekend, and signed with the Gamecocks today
"I'm just excited to play football again," said Pollard. "To play in the sec, some big boy football. I'm just ready to play and compete. they told me just to come in, work hard, and compete."
Pollard isn't the only Packer SEC bound. Jay Blakely and Dee Walker signed with Arkansas and Tennessee today respectively.
