ASHBURN, GA (WALB) - The body found Monday off Rock House Road in Turner County has been identified as that of 20-year-old Shara Sale.
The preliminary autopsy report lists drowning as the cause of death. The Medical Examiner is doing toxicology tests.
Turner Sheriff Andy Hester said that the body could be related to a chase that ended in the area on January 24th. The sheriff said that they arrested four people, and didn't know if any others were in the car at the time.
The search on Monday was initiated because Dekalb County officials told Turner County that a suspect in the chase hadn't spoken with family since last week.
Agents from the GBI office in Perry are assisting with the investigation.
Sheriff Hester explained that he called in the GBI to keep the investigation transparent since it could be related to their chase from more than a week ago.
