ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Starbucks on Meredyth Drive is back open after shutting down to make renovations.

Phoebe officials and the Albany Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting on Tuesday for the "reopening" of the coffee chain.

It has been closed for two weeks so they could update the seating, add some new decor, and a warming station for breakfast and lunch sandwiches.

"We were doing remodeling to bring the store up to a higher level, higher standard and we think it looks great. We think it turned out beautifully and we're glad to welcome all of our old customers back and hopefully we'll have some new customers as well," said Vice President of Operations Brad Hallford.

Hallford said that he was glad to see a lot of smiling faces on Tuesday.
