Baker County Schools host storytelling bonfire

Baker County School students learn the art of storytelling through theater.
Monday night, the school hosted a bonfire with hot chocolate, popcorn and performance by Swamp Gravy.
They're also planning a contest for students to tell their own stories using songs, raps, dances, posters, and powerpoints.

“The C.A.F.E got together which is the “Circle of Adults Focused on Education” and we said you know what let's bring it outside,” said Tracy Barber, Parent Involvement Coordinator. “Lets get something new, something exciting, something fresh, something that Baker County has never done before and the bonfire came out and we just decided to roll with that."

Money raised at Monday night’s bonfire will be used to purchase tickets for the contest winners to see a full Swamp Gravy performance in Colquitt in March.
