ASU named Lenny Gray its women's tennis coach this year. He has SIAC championship experience from his time at Tuskegee, and plans to bring even more to the Lady Golden Rams.
Gray is known for player development. One of his focuses will be sophomore standout Vivian Moultrie. He said she has the talent to go undefeated in conference this year.
The former Lady Rams assistant coach will look to build with her over the next few years.
"That's why I like it here," said Gray. "Because I can work here. I can help develop players. and one of the things I like here, I feel like everything in place, I might have a chance to win a national championship here."
"Our team has really developed tremendously," said Moultrie. "He really does know tennis. We've worked a lot on just consistency and getting the ball in play and I really believe that as we progress throughout the season we will develop a really, really strong team."
Their season opener is February 6th against Florida A&M University.
