ALBANY, GA (WALB) - An Albany curator and author unveils his collection of African American History.
Tyler Harris unveiled his "Tyler Harris Collection" at the Albany Civil Rights Institute.
His collection consists of articles, artifacts and documents dating back to 1800's to now.
Harris says he is active in preserving and sharing the African American Experience.
"In a time frame in which history will record that some Americans were treated as second class citizens," said Tyler Harris, Curator and Author. "Things have changed to a greater degree now but there is a past and there's a history and it's good to know your history so you won't repeat the History."
The Tyler Harris Collection is now a permanent part of the Albany Civil Rights Institute.
