Interstate crash blocks lanes near Valdosta

VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) -

Troopers say one person was injured after a crash along I-75 early Thursday morning.

It happened near exit 16 around 6:30 a.m.

According to a report, a woman, identified as 25-year-old Tacarea Donaldson missed her intended exit, and in an attempt to make the turn collided with a Nissan Pathfinder in the center lane.

That caused the Donaldson's car, a Chrysler Pacifica, to spin out of control and veer across the interstate.

A Ford van nearby also lost control and spun to a stop, before it was hit by a tractor trailer.

Donaldson was injured and taken to the hospital where she was treated and released. She was also cited for impeding the flow of traffic.

All three southbound lanes of I-75 were closed at the exit until 8:30 a.m.

The drivers and passengers of the other vehicles were not injured.
