ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The deadline to register to vote for the presidential preference primary in Georgia is coming up on Monday, February 1.
There are multiple ways to register to vote. The Voter Registration and Elections Office, located at 222 Pine Avenue in Albany, can help those wanting to participate in the presidential primary.
Also, public libraries as well as the libraries of Albany State, Albany Tech, and Darton have information on voter registration.
Supervisor of Elections Ginger Nickerson says voter registration has become convenient for everyone.
"That makes it simple. We want everything simple. We have something for everyone, so that if you want to come in and see us, you're more than welcome. There are also the public libraries that have the information for you. Also the high schools and the universities have that information for you," Nickerson says.
An easy and convenient way to vote is by using OLVR, the online voter registration system.
Super Tuesday is set for March 1, 2016.
