ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Thanks to your generosity, an Albany woman battling stage 4 breast cancer is a step closer to returning to her hometown for more treatments.
After our story last week, Doretha Moore says she received an outpouring of support.
She got enough money to make some repairs to her truck, ship some of her belongings to St. Louis, and rent a storage unit.
Moore says she received donations from as far away as Afghanistan.
"I mean childhood friends and just people that I've only met once in my life and everybody saw it. Thanks to WALB it was a great success," said Doretha Moore, Battling Breast Cancer.
Moore still needs to fix the brakes on her truck, rent a U-Haul, and pay for travel expenses.
