Grand jury won't indict former officer

CAMILLA, GA (WALB) -

The Mitchell County grand jury returned a 'no-bill' in the case of former Camilla Police officer Kevin S. Hodge, who had been charged with stalking.

The jurors ruled on January 6 that there was not sufficient evidence to indict Hodge, whose Georgia Police Officer Standards and Training certifications had been revoked.

The certifications were reinstated on January 8, when POST sent Hodge a letter informing him of the decision.

The alleged stalking was claimed to have happened on November 28, 2015, and Hodge was dismissed from the Camilla Police Department.

We have left a message for Hodge seeking a statement, but have not yet made contact with him.
