AMERICUS, GA (WALB) - For the third year in a row, the Sumter County chamber of commerce is offering a way for local business workers to lose weight.
About 30 people have signed up for the chamber fit challenge.
Three workers from the Clinic Drug Store won last year. The goal is to help local businesses have a healthy workforce.
"We look to give businesses opportunities to improve their work force health and one way is through the chamber challenge. It's a 12 week program. Individuals participate, all confidential and it looks at the overall percentage of weight loss," said Barbara Grogan of the Sumter County Chamber Of Commerce.
The winners receive a collection of donations from other local businesses.
