Probation violation leads to two drug arrests, car chase

DOUGLAS, GA (WALB) -

Deputies from the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office went to Chester Williams Road, Douglas, to serve an arrest warrant for a probation violation on Zachery Ryan White last Wednesday.

They saw a white Lincoln Town Car pull behind the residence.  When the deputies went to look for White, a man ran through a wooded area.  As one of the deputies ran after him, another man jumped in the car and drove off.

The other deputy got into his patrol vehicle and pursued the fleeing subject.

The man who ran through the woods was apprehended a short time later, and identified as Robert Jason Anderson.  Deputies found  two packages of methamphetamine, weighing approximately .4 grams.

Anderson was arrested for obstruction or hindering a law enforcement officer and possession of methamphetamine.  The man who ran from deputies in the car was apprehended on GA Highway 32 East, close to Shady Pines Mobile Home Park, after about a 10 mile chase.

He was identified as Zachary Ryan White.  White was arrested for the probation violation, felony fleeing and attempting to elude a police officer, and multiple traffic citations.
