LEESBURG, GA (WALB) -
The Lee County Trojans are coming off a road win. The squad was off today, but they opened up their gym to the community.
The Trojans teamed up with community members, local players and trainers with Go Hard Training 365.
Boys and girls up to 8th grade learned the fundamentals of basketball from 10 in the morning until 2 in the afternoon.
And best of all the training was free.
"Sometimes we take for granted that kids just know how to play,," said Lee County coach Kirvin Davis. "A lot of times we have to break the game down for them. We got a lot of volunteers, we got our players and parents that are here. And it's open and free to everybody."
Coach Davis is looking to open the gym up for more camps annually. the Trojans return to play Tuesday in Moultrie.
