ALBANY, GA (WALB) - An Albany woman battling Stage 4 Breast Cancer is hoping to raise enough money to help her return to her hometown so she can finish her treatments.
Doretha Moore was diagnosed in 2013.
She had a double mastectomy, but the cancer returned last year.
Moore has been out of work for a few years.
Her friend and neighbor, Dodnella Adams, helps her out and often watches her 7 and 9-year old children.
Moore hopes to move closer to her family in St. Louis.
"I'm starting from zero and I'm just stepping out on faith and I just need the income so that I can move everything to St. Louis," said Doretha Moore, Battling Breast Cancer."
"She really wants to go home," said Dodnella Adams, Friend/Neighbor. "She broke down and cried Mrs. Ann I really want to go home to my family. I just need to be at home."
Moore's oldest daughter came in from St. Louis to help her pack. She hopes to make it to St. Louis by the end of the month, but her truck isn't running well and she doesn't have enough money for the trip.
