ATLANTA, GA (WALB) - More than 100 Delta flights at Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport have been canceled ahead of this weekend's winter storm, that stretches from New England to Georgia.
Nearly 250 total flights had been canceled at the airport as of 4 p.m. Friday, according to FlightAware.com.
The site also plotted the extent of delays in the United States in a graphic layout they called a "Misery Map."
Across the U.S., more than 3,000 flights had already been canceled ahead of the storm by Thursday.
American Airlines told CNN it was canceling all flights Friday in Charlotte, North Carolina. They also canceled flights for Saturday in Philadelphia.
For many, the reality of flight cancellations at major airports was eerie.
Some got right to the point.
Others had a little fun with it.
