ALBANY, GA (WALB) - More than 100 museum professionals from around the state are in Albany.
Merry Acres is hosting the Georgia Association of Museums and Galleries conference.
First Lady Sandra Deal spoke to the group and they're attending sessions to help them do their jobs better.
They also toured Thronateeska, the Albany Museum of Art, and the Flint Riverquarium.
"So we come together to compare notes, to collaborate and to work together," said Dr. Catherine Lewis, Asst. Vice President for Museums, Archives, and Rarebooks at Kennesaw State University. "Georgia has a very active museum community and so we're very lucky that we have so many amazing resources and we contribute a great deal to the economic health of our state."
A dinner and silent auction was held at the Flint Riverquarium Thursday night.
