APD investigates bank robbery

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Albany Police officers are investigating at the DoCo Credit Union, in the shopping center across from the East Albany Walmart.

Someone held up the institution about 9:30 Thursday morning, and got away with some money.

Witnesses gave a description of a black man, about 5' 5" to 5' 9", wearing black jeans, a black hoodie, and with camouflage material over his face.

Police are warning businesses in the area to be alert. They think he may still be in the area, and citizens should let police know if they see suspicious activity.

In October, a man wearing a Batman mask robbed the DoCo Credit Union on Rosebrier Avenue, about a mile away. That suspect was about 5'7" tall, and entered the bank wearing a hoodie, with his face covered, and armed with a handgun.

WALB's Jim Wallace is on the scene, and will have more information as soon as possible.
