ALBANY, GA (WALB) - A grant from the American Dental Hygienists Association will help Darton State College participate in the Farm Worker Family health program.

For the last decade,  students have gone to Moultrie to help migrant families with their dental needs, spending two weeks working with patients.

"This five thousand dollar grant written by Dr. Stacey Marshall will allow the college to continue its efforts in providing oral health care services to migrant farmer worker families in Moultrie, GA.," said Shalonda Heard, Grant Director.

Darton is one of about a half dozen colleges that participate in the program.
